Pools, sacred wells, lakes and streams; water is the place where dreams are born. Water soothes our spirit and tumbles our jagged edges until we are as smooth as stone, purified, our old lives washed away so we can be born anew.

The Water Gallery communicates the qualities of healing, spiritual transformation, communication and emotion.

In the painting Tiamat you will discover the powerful image of the sea. Tiamat is regarded as the mystery of Chaos, primal and uncontrollable, passionate in her unchecked creative energy. She is the frightening Unknown of "formless primordial matter" sacrificially recreated as the very beauty of Earth itself.

In Babylonian mythology Tiamat is the creatrix of the celestial and earthly realms as a result of her violent demise. She is the primordial mother of all and the personification of the saltwater ocean – chaos embodied in the form of the ancient Divine feminine. Her union with Apsu, the personification of fresh water, created the first gods Lachmu and Lachamu (i.e. silt) who in turn created a race of deities.

Indigo Dreams of Sea brings us a tender representation of water. There is a longing, a soft emotional yearning, in the painting and the poem, like the sensation of gentle rain.

The song of water re-connects us to the Source and our Soul. "Even as life on Earth cannot long endure without water, so the body cannot survive without the soul." The ancient ones venerated water as the life blood of the earth and the dwelling place of the gods.
